Celebrate Gold Coast
From 12pm to 5pm on Sunday 12 May (Mother’s Day) the Broadwater Parklands will host the city’s birthday at the inaugural ‘Celebrate Gold Coast’.
On the 16 May 1959 the State Government approved the name of he local authority as City of Gold Coast.
Celebrate Gold Coast is a free family-friendly community event that celebrates everything Gold Coast, including our heritage, culture, lifestyle, flavours, future and fun.
The event will feature two stages of entertainment, each hub activated through a variety of workshops, forums, exhibitions, displays, activities and performances.
The day will include performances from musicians including The Lamplights, mini versions of Blues on Broadbeach, Cooly Rocks on, The Village Markets and more. Kids will be entertained by activities from Skateboarding Australia, Currumbin Wildlife Sactuary, Aquaduck tours and a whole lot more! For more information visit City of Gold Coast.
